Llanarth Court has an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. Llanarth Court is a specialist medium secure, low secure, and open rehabilitation psychiatric hospital. Located in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Llanarth Court offers convenient transport links and easy access to the A40 and A459. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
Join our established therapy team at Priory Hospital Llanarth Court, delivering creative interventions to support patients’ occupational skills and mental wellbeing. You’ll work across our forensic wards, therapy areas and community, with access to a range of excellent on-site facilities.
Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Build positive therapeutic relationships and engage patients creatively.
- Support the reduction of restrictive interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and manage your workload effectively.
- Contribute to team meetings, supervision and the wider therapy service.

Essential for the roleCandidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Master’s pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy) or due to qualify and register soon. Experience working with people with mental health needs or challenging behaviours.
