Salary: £29,259 - £35,618 depending on experience
Hours: Full Time/37.5 Hours

Priory Hospital Roehampton has an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. Our dedicated young people's mental health service provides specialist support for young people. Outpatient support is available to young people between the ages of 4 and 17, while our day care and inpatient treatment options are available to those between the ages of 12 and 17.

In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for young people receiving inpatient treatment for eating disorders within our CAMHS service.
  • Support patients to re-engage in meaningful daily activities, develop healthy routines, and build the skills and confidence needed for recovery.
  • Plan and facilitate a range of therapeutic groups and individual sessions focused on emotional wellbeing, independent living skills, sensory regulation, and social participation.
  • Work collaboratively with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, dietitians, family therapists, and teachers, to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk management, discharge planning, and regular MDT reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes for each young person.
  • Work closely with families and carers to support recovery, promote independence, and prepare young people for a successful transition back into the community.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure all practice is evidence-based, recovery-focused, and in line with HCPC and RCOT professional standards.

Requirements
  • HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification, such as a Bachelor's degree (including honours), Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master's pre-registration qualification.
  • Previous experience working within CAMHS services and experience supporting children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a specialist inpatient setting.
