Quality Improvement Lead – South West and Wales
Remote working - Regional travel required
Salary up to £57,000 + £5,200 Car Allowance

We’re looking for a Quality Improvement Lead to provide clinical quality and safety assurance and support across a number of Priory sites across the South West of England and Wales. This is a remote role, but you’ll need to live within the region as regular travel to our hospitals and services is an essential part of the role. This may involve travelling 2–3 nights per week, with occasional overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is required.

You’ll take a responsive, flexible and proactive approach, working closely with local teams to ensure our services meet regulatory and company requirements, while supporting the continued improvement of clinical quality, safety and practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality and safety leadership across a portfolio of Priory services, working with teams to maintain standards, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide assurance, challenge and support around clinical quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with sites on improvement plans, audits, inspections and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse quality, safety, incidents and patient experience data to identify themes and drive learning.
• Lead and support investigations, reviews and safeguarding activity where required.
• Provide coaching, advice and training to help teams improve practice and embed standards.
• Build strong relationships with clinical and operational leaders, providing visible and credible quality improvement leadership.
• Share learning and best practice across the region and contribute to wider quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• A relevant clinical or professional qualification, with significant post-registration experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Senior-level experience in quality improvement, clinical governance or service leadership.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards, including CQC, MHA, MCA and DoLS, with knowledge of the relevant Welsh requirements.
• A proven track record of improving quality, safety and clinical outcomes.
• Experience of leading change, projects and quality initiatives across complex services.
• Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment.
• Confidence working with data, using insight to identify risks, measure outcomes and drive improvement.
• Safeguarding experience, ideally with experience as a Safeguarding Lead.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
