Registered Mental Health Nurse - CAMHSPriory Hospital Cheadle Royal
Salary: £37,440 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and a completed preceptorship programme. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses. You will be working on the CAMHS ward.
Our comprehensive rehabilitation services provide support for people with complex mental health needs. We align our services with the recommendations of the Joint Commissioning Panel for Mental Health (JCPMH), ensuring our patients are given the highest quality care to enable an appropriate transition back home or into community services, wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities- Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
- Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences
- Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress
- Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes
Essential Requirements- Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- 6-12 months post-registration experience with active NMC registration and completed preceptorship programme
Desirable- Experience working in a CAMHS ward
Location and TransportPriory Hospital Cheadle Royal has excellent transport links, including multiple bus stops just outside the hospital grounds, Heald Green train station within 25 minutes walking distance, and easy access to the M60, M56, and A555. It is an 8-minute drive from Manchester Airport.
