Fern Lodge has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. You will be working shift patterns, with long and short days.
Fern Lodge is located in the historic Roman city of Chester, in Cheshire. Our home is set in a suburban area of the city, off a main road, and offers residential and nursing support for 17 males and females with mental health needs. Our team are dedicated to offering a calm, peaceful and homely environment, with 24-hour nursing care. We are able to support people from a variety of backgrounds, including those who have been in hospital, and people who are moving into our home from the community. Our focus is on stabilising our resident’s mental health, and supporting them to develop their daily living skills. We can also support those who have: A dual diagnosis with a learning disability, with a primary mental health diagnosis Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge Epilepsy Diabetes Nursing needs Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and hoarding
You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse. Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress. Monitor and review Nursing Care plans. You can find additional information in the attached job description.

A Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with some post-registration experience. Demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development. Possess a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and service development, and is capable of adopting flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
