Eden House, part of Priory, is an affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London. It is home to Flourish – our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Eden House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.
Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It's suitable for people who don't require a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.
About the RoleAs Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of this therapy-led residential service, creating a safe, supportive and high-performing environment for both clients and colleagues. You'll play a central role in shaping the culture and direction of the service—ensuring high standards of care, strong team engagement, and positive outcomes for the people we support, including those with addiction and, in some cases, neurodiversity.
Alongside leading your team, you'll take ownership of operational performance, ensuring the service is well-run, sustainable and positioned for long-term success, aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational standards set by Priory Group.
Who We're Looking ForOur work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same, and your empathy will help you support people through both the highs and lows of recovery. You'll bring a combination of clinical understanding, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience working within residential addiction, mental health, or dual-diagnosis services
- A strong understanding of substance misuse, recovery models, and trauma-informed care
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams
- Experience managing risk, including safeguarding and complex mental health needs
- A good working knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. CQC) and quality improvement
- Confidence in managing day-to-day service operations, including staffing and performance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and professionals
- A compassionate, non-judgemental approach aligned with recovery-focused care
Desirable (but not essential)- Professional registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England)
- Experience working in a therapy-led or non-medical treatment setting
- Experience of working with Local Authorities
