Description

Priory Hospital Chelmsford is recruiting a Therapy Lead to join the team. This is a Part time/15 Hour role.

Priory Hospital Chelmsford is located just outside Chelmsford town centre. We are 6 to 7-minute drive from the town centre or a 25-minute walk.

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. Lead and oversee the delivery of therapeutic services, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical practice.

Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to therapists within the multidisciplinary team.

Manage caseload allocation, service planning, and the development of therapeutic programmes.

Collaborate with senior clinicians and hospital management to improve service quality and patient outcomes.

Ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and safeguarding standards while contributing to staff training and service development.

You can find additional information in the attached job description.

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and accredited therapist (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCPC or equivalent) with substantial experience delivering evidence-based psychological therapies within a mental health setting. Previous experience of leading or supervising clinical teams is desirable, alongside strong risk assessment, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary working skills. Training and experience in DBT is essential, with excellent communication, organisational, and leadership abilities required to support both patient outcomes and service development.
