Job summaryThe postholder will lead on robust preassessment screening and risk management across Quays neurodevelopmental services, ensuring timely, safe, and appropriate access to care. This includes undertaking referral triage, identifying clinical and safeguarding risks, and using both validated and non-validated screening tools to inform early decision-making, prioritisation, and care pathways.
The role will incorporate the use of digital tools to enhance patient access, streamline screening processes, and support remote engagement alongside traditional face to face delivery. The postholder will also deliver accessible, low intensity health clinics in community settings, including basic physical health checks such as blood pressure, pulse, height, and weight, to inform holistic treatment and care plans.
Working within a skill mixed multidisciplinary team, the postholder will contribute to safe caseload management, patient consultation, safeguarding processes, and continuous service development. Practice will be aligned with NHS quality, governance, and improvement frameworks, ensuring person-centred, responsive, and outcome focused care for the local population.

About usQuay Healthcare are a primary care provider based in Warrington, delivering specialist ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services across 10 Integrated Care Board (ICB) areas. Our service is designed to provide timely, high-quality ADHD care for children, young people, and adults, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic and treatment journey with the aim of establishing shared care arrangements with their registered GP where appropriate.
Our multidisciplinary team delivers care in line with national guidance and best practice standards, ensuring a comprehensive and patient-centred approach. The team includes Consultant Psychiatrists, GPs with Extended Roles (GPwERs), Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Nurses, and Non-Medical Prescribers. Working collaboratively, they provide specialist assessment, evidence-based diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment and monitoring to support positive patient outcomes.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Evidence of pre-registration training in mental health nursing
- Willingness to undertake relevant training for specialist service (e.g., ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditions)
- Awareness of NMC Code, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based practice

QualificationsEssential- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration
