We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Surgical Equipment Specialist (SES) dedicated to our Sophi Phaco machine to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting, demonstrating and selling our cutting-edge Sophi Phaco machines to healthcare facilities. They will also promote a full range of related consumable and disposable products.

This position requires a deep understanding of cataract procedures and the operating room environment and a proven track record in medical equipment sales.

This role is based in the United Kingdom.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Formal training: Successfully complete a formal training and certification program in Switzerland. Develop a comprehensive understanding of our surgical equipment portfolio.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with key decision makers in healthcare facilities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers on the features and benefits of the Sophi range of machines.
  • Quoting and proposal generation: Work with internal stakeholders to prepare quotations and offerings to customers. Facilitate an appropriate pricing strategy for multi-product offerings.
  • Pre-sales: Identify cross-selling opportunities from the wider Rayner portfolio. Facilitate and lead wetlabs, on site demonstrations.
  • Clinical evaluation: Demonstrate the Sophi range in the O.R. during live surgery, programming the devices in response to surgeon preference. Onboard the O.R. team over a period of several months.
  • After Sales: Provide first line technical support to HCPs, facilities, and colleagues. Provide post-market surveillance to support MDR.
  • Sales reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and pipeline management.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows: Represent the company and local and international trade shows where needed.

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing.
  • Proven track record in surgical equipment sales.
  • Proven track record in ophthalmology sales.
  • Strong understanding of cataract surgery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and spend several weeks demonstrating the Sophi range in the O.R.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Clean driver's license and ability to cover a large territory.
