Job summaryRegents Park Healthcare are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist to provide a high quality trans-thoracic echocardiography service for elective patients at our Cambridge Heart Clinic. The role includes supporting Consultant Cardiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions and ensuring the services needs are met. The candidate must hold BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) accreditation: Level 2 Transthoracic (TTE).
Main duties of the job- To effectively manage own workload
- To assist with the efficient running of the outpatient service by prioritising daily workload
- To maintain standards of technical competency in the provision of non -invasive cardiology
- To provide and participate in a reporting outpatient echo service
- To liaise with administrative staff to organise lists and prioritise workload
- To ensure all equipment and work area is maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and functionality
- To ensure that stock levels of consumables are maintained
- To be responsible for identifying equipment faults, and directly resolve fault issues
- To report patient results in a timely manner
- To provide interpretation and full technical reporting on echocardiograms performed
- To respond to emergency situations maintaining control effectively, promptly, and professionally and requesting assistance as necessary
- To work according to local policies and protocols
- To always treat patients with kindness and respect

JOB OVERVIEW: Regents Park Healthcare are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist to provide a high quality trans-thoracic echocardiography service for elective patients at our Cambridge Heart Clinic. The role includes supporting Consultant Cardiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions and ensuring the services needs are met.
HOURS: Full time and Part-time positions available.
Normally Monday to Friday; however, flexibility may be required to support our services. This would however be discussed and agreed with you in advance. We expect there will be no requirement to work weekends or Bank Holidays without prior & mutual agreement. There is no on call requirement in this role.
SALARY: £50,000+/year depending on experience

- To implement and audit cases to ensure quality
- To successfully manage time to affect a balance between clinical and admin duties
- Contribute to and accurately participate in the correct reporting and handling of incidents

- To hold and maintain BSE accreditation
- To work in accordance with standards set by BSE
