Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, well organised practice. We are looking to recruit a salaried GP, for up to 6 sessions.

We have an excellent clinical team comprising of GPs, ANP, Clinical Pharmacists, nurse prescribers, practices nurses, ARRS roles and student nurses all supported by a superb administrative team.

We are located in a purpose built LIFT building conveniently located close to the M65.

We have a good CQC rating and are high achievers in all areas of QOF and Des/Les Targets. We are also a research ready practice with our own research hub and we are a training practice, including, medical, pharmacy, nurse students and apprenticeship placements.

We have recently received RCGP Active Practice Status and have recently been involved in walks to raise funds for various charities, along with building links with the local councils and their increasing Activity schemes.

We are looking for a GP to fit in to our friendly and approachable team, and work with us to deliver good care to our population of patients.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post include:

• Telephone, face to face, video and online consultations
• Home visits where appropriate (supported by HVS).
• Workflow management including tasks and medicine management
• Referrals, tasks and prescriptions
• Participation in clinical audits and Quality Improvement schemes
• Keeping up to date with skills, mandatory training and revalidation process

Job responsibilities
Each session is 4 hours 10 mins, standard working day to include:

• maximum patient allocation is 12 face to face, 2 phone calls and a review slot, and associated admin
• GP tasks/queries
• workflow medicine management
• visits (infrequent)

A salaried GP is also expected to undertake a share of non NHS (Private) work, audits, QOF, attend practice meetings and keep up to date with practice protocols and policies as well as mandatory training and personal skills.

Qualifications
Essential

• GMC Registered General Practitioner
• On the NHS performers list and eligible to work in Primary Care

Experience
Essential

• Previous experience of EMIS Web
• Good basic IT Skills

Desirable

• Experience of working in a GP practice
