What's the Role All About?
As our Senior Dental Nurse – Mentor, you'll support our practice Apprentice Dental Nurses throughout their qualification journey, sharing your knowledge, building their confidence and helping them achieve their career goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Mentoring and supporting Apprentice Dental Nurses throughout their apprenticeship programmes.
• Coaching and developing apprentices, helping them build their clinical knowledge, practical skills and professional confidence.
• Providing regular guidance and feedback, celebrating achievements and identifying opportunities for further development.
• Working closely with training providers and Practice Manager to monitor progress.
• Creating a positive learning environment where apprentices feel comfortable asking questions, learning from experience and developing their abilities.
• Supporting individual learning needs, adapting your mentoring approach to help every apprentice reach their potential.
• Leading by example, demonstrating excellent patient care, clinical standards and professional behaviour, and fostering an excellent working culture embedding the Riverdale values.
• Supporting clinical teams, maintaining high standards of infection prevention, compliance and patient care.
• Identifying additional support needs and working collaboratively to help apprentices overcome challenges.
• Continuing to provide dental assistance to the clinicians within the practice.

• GDC-registered Dental Nurse with at least 3 years' experience.
• Genuine passion for helping Apprentice Dental Nurses achieve their qualifications.
• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with mentoring commitments.
• Commitment to excellent patient care and high clinical standards.
