Job summaryThe post holder will be based within the Learning Disability and Forensic directorate. Working closely with the Learning disability Service Manager to review the current business activities within the service. The post holder will also be the lead in promoting the service, identifying good practice, and working closely with the team to implement any recommendations. The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities for the agreed service and robust management of the team. The community team manager will assist and oversee the day-to-day operational responsibilities for the clinical services within the community team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job- To contribute to the development of the community health team services.
- To lead and embed the principles of transforming care across the learning disability service.
- To provide support to the service manager to meet the aims and objectives of the service including deputising and delegated responsibilities
- To provide support to the service manager in the effective day to day management of the team within the resources available and agreed governance frameworks.
- To review staffing levels and skill mix as necessary.
- To be responsible for the leadership, mentorship, and support of staff daily.
- To manage and provide management / clinical supervision to staff under your line management.
- Work within the infection control agenda to improve standards.
- Improving environments for patients.
- To work with patients and their carer/relative in addressing concerns by building closer relationships.
- To promote partnership working with patients, carers, and stakeholders

QualificationsEssential- RNLD or RMN with significant LD experience
- ENB 998 or equivalent
- Evidence of on-going continuous professional development
Desirable- Management qualification e.g. MHSC or equivalent

- Experience of working within a community team.
- Working with carers.
