Job summaryWe are delighted to announce a new 16 bed service based in Doncaster that will welcome patients from Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
The unit with support patients with complex mental health with a focus on rehabilitation, patients may be in the service for up to 12 months and through a multi-professional approach will receive recovery focussed care.

Main duties of the jobIf you are a committed qualified Nursing Associate who is motivated and committed to enabling the recovery of people with acute mental ill health, then we are keen to hear from you.

QualificationsEssential- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Educated to a minimum level 5 foundation degree specific to nursing associate practice
- Care Certificate
- GCSE level 4 -9 in Maths and English or equivalent
ExperienceEssential- Previous experience of working within a health / care setting
- Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and wellbeing (Making Every Contact Count)
SkillsEssential- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
- Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi disciplinary team
- Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
- Evidence of time management skills and ability to prioritise
- IT skills appropriate to the role
- Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers
- Courteous, respectful and helpful at all times Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of the workload and individual patient contact
- Ability to work on own initiative, be well motivated and motivate others
- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Able to demonstrate resilience, managing personal emotions and stress
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional
- Ability to engage and complete preceptorship
