An exciting opportunity has arisen within our neurological services to recruit a clinical nurse specialist to our team for Doncaster and Rotherham patients.
Our service is seeking a nurse with relevant experience to be involved in the delivery and development of services for patient with neurological conditions.
This post will be based on Magnolia Lodge, Neurorehabilitation Unit, Tickhill Road Hospital.
The post holder will work primarily on the unit as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team but as a member of the wider specialist nursing team will also be expected to cover the specialist nurse role across the Doncaster and Rotherham pathway in clinics and in the community as required.

The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced, flexible, forward-thinking nurse
- Able to autonomously manage a caseload of patients with a range of neurological conditions
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Attend and represent the service in patient related meetings across primary and secondary care
- Able to aid with the development and delivery of training packages relating to neurological conditions
Main duties of the job- To develop and deliver a specialist nursing service for people with neurological conditions
- To assess individual patient's needs, set and implement programmes of care for patients linking with primary, secondary and tertiary care ensuring care is properly coordinated.
- To contribute to the development of nursing within the Trust by working across boundaries and interagency working.
- As part of a team, initiate research-based practice and monitor the quality of the service being provided.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- First level Registered Nurse, registered with NMC
- NMP/Non Medical Prescribing qualification or willingness to obtain this qualification
ExperienceEssential- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
- Evidence of on-going professional development and evidence in relation to neurological conditions
- Commitment to continuous improvement of services - experience leading change
- Evidence of leadership experience and/or qualification
