An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Nursing Associate to join the Emergency Department team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.

Our Emergency Department provides urgent and emergency care to a diverse patient population, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursing Associate who is committed to providing safe, effective, and patient-centred care while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills within emergency care and contribute to improving patient experiences and outcomes.

Main duties of the job
As a Nursing Associate within the Emergency Department, you will:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses.
• Support the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Monitor and record observations, recognising and escalating patient deterioration appropriately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and comfort.
• Undertake a range of clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Support patient flow through the department, assisting with admissions, transfers, investigations, and discharge processes.
• Promote patient safety, dignity, safeguarding, and infection prevention standards.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, and support services to ensure effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Qualified band 4 or due to qualify in 6 months on the NMC register as a Nursing Associate

• Working currently at band 4 level
