Job summaryApplications are invited for the post Physician Associate in Trauma and Orthopaedics at North Devon District Hospital, part of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Northern Services). The acute hospital in Barnstaple provides a full complement of secondary care services for the local population, including emergency care, cancer services, maternity and paediatric services.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced Physician Associate (PA) to join our dynamic Trauma & Orthopaedic service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with experience in assessment and the management of trauma patients, including participation in a Virtual Fracture Clinic (VFC) pathway.
Working alongside Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, Specialty Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across acute trauma and elective orthopaedic services.
The post holder will contribute to the assessment, management, and follow-up of patients presenting with fractures and musculoskeletal injuries, supporting both face-to-face and virtual clinical pathways.
