Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) to join our Scrub team within Surgery. We are looking for ambitious individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and who can help shape and drive our department forward.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and progressive theatre team. If you are forward-thinking, keen to develop your skills, and passionate about delivering excellent perioperative care, we would love to hear from you.

Previous experience within a perioperative or surgical nursing environment would be advantageous; however, full training, support and development opportunities will be provided for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scrub duties in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and professional standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development activities.
• Promote and deliver best evidence-based practice to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support excellent patient outcomes.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
Essential

• State Registered with Nursing & Midwifery Council or HCPC

Desirable

• Post-registration training preferably in speciality area
• Demonstrates effective clinical practice in a wide range of intra-operative procedures.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential

• Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing knowledge& practice after qualification & preceptorship

Desirable

• Experience of taking charge of a ward and delegating responsibilities
