Join SELDOC, a successful GP cooperative with over 30 years of service, delivering high-quality primary and urgent care to millions of patients across South London. As part of our dedicated team, you'll have the flexibility to work onsite or remotely, conducting telephone consultations or seeing patients face-to-face at our bases.

We are seeking experienced and motivated Emergency Nurse Practitioners to join our Urgent Treatment Centre team. As an ENP, you will work autonomously and collaboratively across the UTC, Emergency Department, and wider hospital services, managing a diverse caseload of patients presenting with urgent and emergency needs.

You should be a registered healthcare professional (NMC/HCPC) with advanced clinical skills, able to assess, diagnose, and manage patients confidently while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

What We Offer:
  • Flexible Working Options: Work remotely or onsite, with opportunities for face-to-face assessments, home visits, or telephone triage.
  • Career Development: Regular clinical audits, feedback, and educational sessions, including peer support forums and monthly topical events.
  • Supportive Environment: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Shift Managers, Drivers, and Call Handlers, with support always available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out comprehensive history taking, clinical examinations, and initial patient assessments in the UTC.
  • Confirming the appropriateness of patients streamed into the UTC by ED
  • Diagnose and manage patients with undifferentiated urgent and emergency conditions, including paediatrics.
  • Order, interpret, and act on X rays, initiate treatment, and discharge or refer patients appropriately.
  • Provide high quality wound care, suturing, and medication administration, including prescribing if qualified.
  • Use advanced reasoning to create safe, patient centred management plans with safety netting advice.
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues across the Emergency Department and community care pathways.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to guidelines, protocols, and service improvement.

Person Specification:
Essential:
  • Current NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Practice (Level 7 or working towards).
  • Competence in diagnostic reasoning, X ray interpretation, wound management, and clinical decision-making.
  • Minimum 1 year ENP/ACP/NP experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:
  • Non Medical Prescribing qualification.
  • Experience in paediatrics, including children under 2 years.
  • Leadership or service improvement training.
  • Evidence of mentoring or teaching.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
