At Shaw Healthcare, we're looking for a caring, motivated Team Leader to join our team at Maes-Y-Wennol in Llanidloes. This is your opportunity to lead a dedicated team, make a real difference to residents' lives, and build a rewarding career with one of the UK's leading employee-owned care providers.

Our home provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, as well as specialist dementia care. Every day is an opportunity to bring comfort, dignity and companionship to the people who call our home their own.

This is more than a job—it's a chance to lead with purpose, build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference in the lives of older people every single day.

Why Choose Shaw Healthcare?
At Shaw Healthcare, people are at the heart of everything we do. Since 1986, we've grown into the UK's largest employee-owned healthcare provider, with 64 registered services and more than 45 extra care apartments across the country.

About the Role
As a Residential Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents receive outstanding care every day.

You'll lead by example, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout every shift.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care
  • Promoting best practice at all times
  • Safely administering and recording medication in line with company policies
  • Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation

About You
We're looking for someone who combines compassion with confidence and enjoys supporting others to be their best.
  • Experience working within residential care for older people
  • An NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or be working towards it
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring colleagues, or the confidence to step into a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A caring, patient and positive attitude

If you're ready to take the next step in your care career with an organisation that truly values its people, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and start your next chapter with Shaw Healthcare.
