Are you passionate about supporting children and young people's mental health? We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Psychologist to join our innovative Healthy Minds Mental Health Support Team, working with schools across Sheffield.

In this role, you will:
  • Work closely with children, young people, and school communities to support emotional wellbeing.
  • Collect, analyse, and report on data to inform and improve service delivery.
  • Contribute to the creation of accessible, inclusive mental health resources.
  • Enjoy variety in your day-to-day, managing a diverse workload with autonomy.
  • Engage confidently and professionally with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Help shape a trauma-informed, early intervention approach to child mental health in education settings.

We're seeking someone who is highly organised, compassionate, and eager to develop within a supportive team. A genuine interest in children's mental health and a drive to make a difference are essential.

Why join us? You'll become part of a forward-thinking project with a strong focus on early intervention and school-based care. You'll receive regular supervision, enjoy a rich variety of experiences, and be encouraged to grow both personally and professionally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build transferable skills and contribute to meaningful change in young people's lives.

Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to team development to measure impact of the services.
  • Inputting, collating and reporting on data to prepare reports for service improvement.
  • Synthesising Healthy Minds survey data to write reports for educational colleagues to support school improvement around emotional wellbeing.
  • Preparing mental health resources to share with school communities.
  • Supporting colleagues in delivering groups to children and young people and psychoeducational workshops to parents and carers.

As we approach our 150th anniversary in 2026, we're excited to keep building our leadership in children's health, improve experiences for patients and staff, and focus on our communities and population health.
