Job summaryWe are looking to recruit two Part Time (8PAs) Consultant Neurologists to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, one post with outpatient clinics at Sheffield and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the second post outpatient clinics at Sheffield and the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Main duties of the jobAppointments are made to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the person appointed is required to be sufficiently flexible to undertake their main clinical duties at any of the sites within the Region and/or to change their base hospital.
The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of adult neurological services to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the routine outpatient general neurological and sub-specialty clinics in Sheffield at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
The person appointed will be required to cover for colleagues during periods of absence. They will have continuing responsibility for patients in their care and the proper functioning of the Department.

ResearchEssential- Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate
Desirable- Publications in Peer reviewed journals.

Continuous Professional DevelopmentEssential- Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months
