Job summary
Sherwood Forest Hospitals is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our supportive and dynamic Neonatal Team.

We are a 12-bed Neonatal Unit providing high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse range of newborn infants, from those requiring special care through to babies receiving intensive care. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate and individualised care to babies and their families.

We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced Registered Nurses (Adult or Children's) and Midwives who are committed to developing their neonatal knowledge and clinical skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across a 24-hour service, demonstrating a professional, compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning, committed to professional development and keen to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

• Knowledge of neonatal issues

Qualifications/Academic/Craft/Professional
Essential

• 1st level registered nurse or RN child/ RSCN or Registered midwife

Desirable

• Teaching qualification (flips enb 998, D32/33)

Further Training
Essential

• Safeguarding children
• Clinical supervision
• Undertake preceptor programme following induction, willing to undertake Neonatal qualification

Experience
Essential

• Previous experience of children's/ Neonatal services
• Experience of audit and research

Desirable

• Newly qualified staff nurse post

• To work within a 24 hour rota, night duty and weekends
