Job summary
Are you an exceptional Registered Nurse looking to develop your career in Same Day Emergency Care? Do you thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, enjoy working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, and take pride in delivering safe, efficient, patient-centred care? If so, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
Our SDEC Unit is seeking to recruit a motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse, to join our highly regarded team. The unit offers a modern, purpose-built environment with 24 patient chairs, designed to support rapid assessment, treatment and discharge for our patients.
As a Registered Nurse in SDEC, you will work in a dynamic and varied clinical setting where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered, using early warning scores, strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills to identify patients at risk of deterioration and escalate appropriately when necessary.
This is a rewarding yet challenging role that requires confidence, adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality care within tight timeframes. You will work closely with medical, nursing and therapy colleagues to support safe same-day patient journeys and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
If you are enthusiastic, compassionate and ready to rise to a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job

About us
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as 'outstanding' for care and our King's Mill Hospital as the only 'outstanding' NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
