Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Application Support Analyst to join our Application Support team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality application support services across our customer base and local health community.

Reporting to the Application Support Team Leader, the successful candidate will help drive the operational effectiveness of the Application Support function, ensuring excellent customer service, robust incident management, and continuous service improvement. The post holder will act as a senior point of expertise, providing advice, guidance, and technical support for both operational services and major projects and programmes.

Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) provides Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICT) across the NHS and local health community. Providing expertise and capability, effectively delivering national and local ICT requirements and continually researching and innovating in an effort to provide technologies that enable our customers to do things better or do better things.

• In depth knowledge of National ICT Programmes
• Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office applications up to subject matter expert level
• Good proven supervisory skills and experience
• Expert working knowledge of the Internet and E-mail
• Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and issues around data confidentiality
• Expert knowledge of clinical systems and working practices

• Supervisory qualification/ training NVQ level 4 or equivalent

Contractual Requirements

• Participate in the 24 hour on call rota
• Ability to work flexibly, outside normal office hours, in order to suit the needs of the users.
