This is a unique opportunity for an inspirational and forward-thinking senior nurse leader to shape nursing practice, drive quality improvement, and lead workforce innovation across our organisation and the wider Integrated Care System.

Working closely with, and deputising for, the Chief Nursing & Allied Health Officer, you will provide visible and credible professional leadership for nursing services, championing excellence in patient care, safety, and experience. You will lead key strategic portfolios including clinical governance, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, professional standards, and workforce development. The role will also play a pivotal part in maintaining strong relationships with the CQC and key system partners.

We are looking for a values-driven leader with the credibility, vision, and influence to inspire teams, build strong partnerships, and deliver meaningful improvements at pace.

You will be passionate about developing nursing practice, supporting our workforce, and ensuring the highest standards of care for the communities we serve.

If you are an experienced senior nursing leader ready to make a significant impact at executive level, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide visible, professional leadership across Nursing professions. Lead on professional standards, clinical governance, patient safety and quality.
  • Maintain and strengthen our relationship with the NMC, acting as the primary link for fitness to practise matters.
  • Influence strategic planning, workforce development and service transformation across Sirona.
  • Champion safe, high-quality, equitable and person-centred care. Build strong partnerships with higher education providers, system partners and national bodies.
  • Support and, when required, represent the CNAHO at Board, executive committees and system-level forums.
  • Lead key portfolios including safeguarding, patient experience, infection prevention & control, risk, compliance, and CQC relationship management.
  • Foster a compassionate, inclusive culture that attracts, develops and retains a diverse workforce.
