Job summaryYeovil Endoscopy Department is excited to share an opportunity for experienced endoscopy nurses in our newly developed pre-assessment team.
We value our nurses highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly. We have full time and part time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties of the jobThe staff nurse is responsible for the pre-assessment of adult patients having an elective, surveillance and in-patient emergency endoscopy procedures within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for patient-centred assessments which includes liaising with patients, their carers, and the multi- disciplinary team.
The pre-assessment covers the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. This assessment extends to identifying issues that can be resolved or optimised prior to procedure, in order for the patient to have the best possible outcome
