Job summary
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic CAMHS Practitioner qualified as a Clinical Psychologist / Mental Health Nurse / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist / Psychotherapist.

Joining our established Tier 3 CAMHS Treatment Team, you will work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, care coordination and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and their families. The role offers opportunities to facilitate groups, develop specialist clinical skills, and contribute to innovative service delivery within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Main duties of the job
Undertake assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties. Hold a caseload and provide care coordination where required. Work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes. Deliver individual and group interventions as part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS team. Contribute to risk assessment, safeguarding, and the ongoing development of the service.

• Qualification as a Core professional
• Registered with the BABCP or UKCP or relevant professional body

Experience
Essential

• Experience of receiving clinical supervision across a range of client needs.
• Experience of CAMHS review and intervention for clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature including neurodevelopmental conditions (A/I)
• Experience that supports working with, and addressing issues of, diversity within local communities. This may have been gained through work, research, volunteering and / or lived experience. (A/I)
• Experience of developing and carrying out research projects. (A/I)

Knowledge
Essential

• Knowledge of CAMHS assessment.
• Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health issues, child and adult protection, and equalities.
• Knowledge of factors affecting acceptability and accessibility of mental health care.
