The Surgical Hub offers state of the art technologies in a modern environment. The hub has 6 main theatres, 2 minor ops theatres, a 2 bay regional anaesthetic area and a 10 bay recovery area with onsite admission and discharge areas.
Main duties of the jobThe theatres provide an operating service to the following clinical specialities:
- General Surgery
- Gynaecology
- Urology
- Plastic Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Maxillo-facial
- ENT
- Ophthalmic
You will need to be an active member of the multidisciplinary team by demonstrating a range of essential skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe caring environment that promotes evidence based practice

Person SpecificationKnowledgeEssential- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effectively prioritises and co-ordinates own work.
- Good information technology skills.
- Commitment to the needs of the service including a flexible and adaptable approach in the work environment/ work practices.
QualificationsEssential- Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC
- Nursing Degree/Diploma or ODP qualification
ExperienceEssential- Theatre experience
- Experience working within an acute or community setting
- Experience of Multi-disciplinary working
