Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call

(part time may be considered)

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Specialty Doctor to join the Newhaven Team based at Fieldhead Hospital, Ouchthorpe Lane, Wakefield WF1 3SP. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Low Secure Learning Disability Team.

• Demonstrable experience of ability to work independently with minimal consultant supervision.
• Ability to provide expert clinical opinion.

Desirable

• Evidence of independent management of patients.

Eligibility
Essential

• Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
• Spent a minimum of three years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, of which at least two years in Forensic psychiatry, including one year in forensic Learning Disability psychiatry.

Desirable

• In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
• Section 12 status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
