Main duties of the jobWorking in secure healthcare will bring new challenges and we have opportunities for Bank Nurses. The days are varied and there is a wide range of training and development opportunities. You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering primary care, mental health and substance misuse services to our patients. This includes nurse led clinics, administering medication and treatments, emergency response, triage, wound care, examinations and referrals. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team.

Person SpecificationEducation and Training- Registered Nurse Level 1 - Adult / General/Mental Health
Desirable- Mentorship / teaching / assessing experience
Knowledge and Experience- Knowledge of current healthcare issues
- Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and quality agenda
- Working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
- Worked in a complex environment managing deteriorating patients
- There is a requirement to undertake training to become proficient in the use of SystemOne
- Understanding and the application of confidentiality
Desirable- Understanding of local and national key documents and their impact on health care delivery in a prison setting
- Awareness of the Health and Justice agenda in prisons
- Experience of working within a secure environment
- Experience of health needs assessment/Triage
- Working to Patient Group Directives Practice Nurse / Chronic Disease Management / Minor Injuries experience
