Job summaryMaternity leave cover, 12 month fixed term post.We are seeking a Health Advisor in Sexual Health to join Spectrum Community Health CIC. Our digital strategy implementation has enhanced the ability to work successfully off site, and we believe that this innovative position is one of the first in the county and as such requires someone who is innovative, dynamic, prepared to think differently and able to engage colleagues and patients when working off site.
The post will cover 12 month fixed term maternity leave and is Agenda for Change Band 6, managing and delivering Health Advisor centered care to patients within the team and the wider external population and community assets. We have an innovative approach to clinical provision with a strong digital strategy which contributes to the flexibility of patient care, but also work/life balance. You will be part of a wider sexual health team within Spectrum, which includes peer engagement from our other Health Advisors, including Senior Health Advisors, in Barnsley and Wakefield.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide an outpatient model of sexual health advisor care, providing care and clinical management plans for all patients regardless of how they have accessed care (e.g online/Face to face, telephone appointments). Focusing on achieving excellent partner notification outcomes and infection transmission disruption. The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality clinical environment and provide senior health advisor input into service delivery, supporting medical, nursing and administrative colleagues. You will also be fully engaged with and contribute to supporting our commissioning, and other stakeholder colleagues in matters relating to public health, infection prevention and control, which may include engagement in wider community, local and national strategy to prevent and control sexually transmitted infections and other Public Health Outcomes relating to sexual health. The successful candidate will possess a professional registration and/or experience and/or training in a Health Advisor role in a Level 3 Sexual Health provision.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Registered Nurse (Adult)
- Relevant degree qualification
- Basic education to GCSE level
Desirable- Relevant community qualifications e.g Public Health Specialist Practitioner
