Duties and responsibilities:- To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in Oncology Day Chemotherapy Centre. Care of cancer patients receiving Systemic Anti- Cancer Therapy(SACT).
- Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload of cancer patients.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs throughout the cancer treatment pathway.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information related to cancer patient care.
Who we're looking for:- NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in an Oncology/Haematology setting.
- Competent in venepuncture, phlebotomy and cannulation and the use of CVADs.
- Evidence of SACT competency.
- UK Oncology Nurse Society (UKONS) SACT passport
- Post registration study in cancer care or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- Compassionate and patient advocate.
- Excellent communication skills, organised and can showcase excellent patient care.
Contract: 0 hours bank contract
Hours: Shifts within Monday - Friday 8-6 (at least 2 per week required)
