Bank MRI Specialist Radiographer to join our Imaging Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MRI Radiographer looking for flexible work within a modern, patient-focused environment, supported by a leading independent healthcare provider.
As part of our bank team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality MRI service, ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of imaging practice.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and patient-focused imaging services, working across a range of diagnostic modalities while maintaining the highest professional and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and professional standards
- Ensure patient safety, particularly in relation to MRI safety screening and contraindications.
- Deliver an outstanding patient experience, providing reassurance and support throughout the diagnostic journey.
- Operate MRI equipment efficiently to produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Work closely with consultants, radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Adhere to HCPC, IR(ME)R, MRI safety and hospital governance requirements.
Essential Requirements- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC Registration.
- Post-registration experience in MRI imaging.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to meet service requirements.
Desirable- Experience working on Siemens MRI systems.
- Previous experience within an independent healthcare setting.
- IV Cannulation qualification.
- Knowledge and experience of contrast-enhanced MRI procedures.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
