Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse and have the drive, ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care?Sulis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, are looking for experienced Bank Registered Nurses to join our Endoscopy bank register.
Within the role you will demonstrate your ability to.- Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures
- Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
- Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy
- Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
- Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines
- Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures
- Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints.
- Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.
- Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area
- Triage and Pre-Assess Patients against specific criteria to ensure suitable for the procedure
