Job summary
This Band 7 Brief Interventions Clinical Lead role is an exciting opportunity to take a clinical leadership role within our community neighbourhood team, providing highly specialist advice and support to nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues. You will manage complex cases, provide leadership and supervision to staff, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Working collaboratively across the service, you will support service improvement and quality initiatives, and contribute to changes in policy and practice. You will also play an important role in developing others by providing specialist education and training to staff, students and patients.

Main duties of the job

• Provides highly specialist advice and support to nurses/multidisciplinary team
• To manage complex cases, providing leadership and supervision of staff and ensuring high-quality evidence-based patient care.
• Being part of the community Neighbourhood clinical leadership team working collaboratively to ensure people's needs are met and a reduced need for repeat assessments
• Support strategic leadership in relation to service improvement and quality evaluation.
• Provides specialist education and training to other staff, students and/or patients/clients.
• Leads clinical audits in own specialist area.
• To contribute to or participate in policy and practice changes arising from e.g. audits, complaints.

This role is within the new transformation one team in East Surrey Reigate. The job is situated in the brief interventions service and you will be the clinical lead in this area supporting both a band 6 and Band 5.

• NMC or HCPC or SWE registration

Experience
Essential

• Significant experience working at band 6 or higher.
• Professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by post registration/post graduate specialist training, experience and/or short courses, CPD or equivalent.
