Job summary
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time Band 6 RMN to join our Specialist Adult Mental Health Triage Team in Eastbourne, East Sussex. This role involves working closely with the Triage Team and collaborating with the Duty and Nurse Lead Clinic Team. The successful candidate will join a friendly, skilled, and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team. We are committed to supporting your development of the clinical skills essential for this role. Main duties of the job
This role involves supporting adults with complex mental health needs. You will assist clients and, when appropriate, their carers. Collaboration with internal teams and external partner agencies is essential. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will manage a caseload and perform triage and other assigned duties.

Job responsibilities
Clinical

• To contribute to the management of a team caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which will be delivered in the Adults Mental Health Service.
• To hold a caseload as Lead practitioner and attend relevant MDT meetings
• To regularly support and cover the triage rota
• To provide specialist assessment and intervention as part of a multi-disciplinary approach, with specific responsibilities regarding the care pathway
• To provide risk screening and assessment as well as risk management planning
• To contribute to and facilitate evidence-based assessments and individual and group interventions
• To contribute to the maintenance and development of the Service
• To regularly share and supervise students on practice placement, and junior staff as appropriate

Qualifications
Essential

• Registered Nurse with current registration [mental health/LD/Adult], appropriate to the job role
• Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
• Evidence of continuous professional development

Knowledge/Experience
Essential

• Significant post qualifying experience in the relevant care group
• Experience of working consultatively with professionals
• Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments
• Experience of partnership working within and across various statutory and non statutory teams and agencies
• Experience of working within the CPA process
• Understanding of clinical governance
• Previous experience of working in the community
• Contribute to the implementation of services
