The post-holder will undertake highly specialised examinations and provide safe, compassionate care throughout the patient pathway, including assessment, preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, quality assessment and post-procedure care. They will operate complex imaging equipment, undertake quality assurance and apply radiation-protection principles in accordance with IR(ME)R 2017, IRR17, professional standards and local procedures.

They will support the implementation and development of the static PET-CT service; collaborate with Radiotherapy, clinicians, Medical Physics, radiopharmacy and other colleagues; and provide day-to-day leadership, specialist advice, supervision and training. They will also contribute to competency assessment, clinical governance, audit, research, quality improvement, incident review and departmental procedures.

If a suitable candidate with the necessary level of experience cannot be identified, we will consider offering the post under Annex 21.
