The Scarborough Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team is looking for a Registered Mental Health Clinician to cover a 9 month secondment period. Our team provides a responsive assessment and home treatment service to those experiencing an acute mental health crisis in the community.
As a Home Based Treatment Clinician you will be expected to work collaboratively with Service Users, Carers and other professionals, offering interventions as an alternative to hospital admission as the primary element of your role.
This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. However, sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements, therefore, we recommend that you assess your eligibility before applying for this position.Main duties of the jobThe successful postholder will provide a telephone triage & support service to service users and carers who self-refer via NHS111 option 2 and supporting service users who are awaiting Mental Health Act Assessment in the Health Based Place of Safety.
You will work as a member of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team, providing intensive home treatment to patients and support for their families in accordance with Trust and Crisis Team Policies and Procedures.
The postholder will manage a defined caseload of clients experiencing an acute mental health episode, using evidence based, client centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.

- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Desirable- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area
- MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
