Role: Speech and Language Therapist
Hours: Part time 3 days per week 24 hours
Location: Spring Hill School, Ripon, North Yorkshire
Salary/Benefits: Pro rota £42,170 per annum depending on experience
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who is looking to join our multidisciplinary team?
This is a unique post where you will deliver an SLT service and provide support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition, Complex Needs and some Challenging Behaviours
Cambian Spring Hill School is a 38 - 52 week residential and day school for children and young people aged 8-19 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, associated challenging behaviours, social and communication difficulties, SEMH and complex needs.
The school provides education and care through a mixture of individualised programmes and a broad curriculum to learn, progress and work towards each students personal best. Learning opportunities are provided to facilitate personal aspirations, celebrate success and work towards a meaningful transition into the adult world. There is a focus on personal development especially of independence, social communication, community participation and engagement with employability differentiated to each students needs and strengths. Students can access a wide variety of work experience opportunities to develop their practical skills including retail, horticulture, administration, construction, animal care and IT.

Job RoleAs a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with a range of individuals to maximise their potential and to enable them to enjoy the best possible quality of life. As a SLT, you will be independently working with individuals and groups to assess social communication needs in a range of environments. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the implementation of the therapeutic approach across the environment.
You will respond to referrals and be responsible for ensuring an inclusive communication environment is maintained, audits are completed and the RCSLT 5 good communication standards are utilised. A key aspect of your role will be to work effectively as part of the companywide SLT team and contribute to service development.
About YouThe successful candidate for this role will have a degree or a postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have experience working with individuals that have Autism Spectrum Condition, Challenging Behaviour, CAMHS experience desirable.
