Description

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a new salaried GP to join our friendly team of 4 Partners and 2 salaried doctors in a training practice located in Hayes which has its own premises and gated car park. We are ideally looking to cover total of 4-6 sessions in a week. The Practice is within easy reach of the A40 and M4 in West London. Our Practice is dynamic and forward thinking with a multidisciplinary team onsite. The Practice list size of 10,500, has a Good CQC rating, uses EMIS web and Docman and has a high QOF achievement

6 weeks annual leave pro rata, plus study days pro rata

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Consultations: Conducting both telephone and face-to-face consultations with patients to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
  • Prescribing medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Providing advice on general health, lifestyle, and disease prevention.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Managing patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
  • Implementing care plans and monitoring patients' progress.
  • Health Promotion: Promoting health and well-being through patient education and preventive measures.
  • Encouraging lifestyle changes to improve overall health.
  • Emergency Care: Responding to urgent medical situations and emergencies.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals in emergency cases.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with nurses, healthcare assistants, and other support staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participating in administrative tasks related to the practice, such as meetings and training sessions.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in continuous professional development (CPD) to stay updated on medical advancements and best practices.
  • Participating in peer review and clinical audit activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Medical degree from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the GP Register.
  • Completion of relevant postgraduate training (e.g., GP Specialty Training).
  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time or part-time employment.
  • Collaborative work within a primary care team.
  • On-call duties may be required.
