Salary: Competitive salary, Band 7 Equivalent

Are you passionate about delivering specialist pharmacy care that makes a real difference to patients undergoing cancer treatment?

At The London Clinic, our Cancer Services team is at the forefront of oncology and haematology care, supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey.

We're looking for a Clinical Pharmacist who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and is committed to delivering safe, innovative and personalised patient care.

Whether you're reviewing complex chemotherapy regimens, advising clinicians on specialist medicines, or helping shape the future of cancer services, you'll play a critical role in achieving the very best outcomes for our patients.

A little about the role
As part of our specialist Cancer Services Pharmacy team, we work closely with consultants, nurses, pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive exceptional pharmaceutical care throughout their treatment.

We are involved in every stage of the patient journey, from reviewing and validating complex chemotherapy prescriptions to supporting medicines optimisation and providing expert pharmaceutical advice. No two days are the same. One day we may be supporting inpatient oncology wards and participating in multidisciplinary discussions, while the next we could be contributing to service development projects, supporting aseptic services, or helping to educate colleagues across the hospital.

We pride ourselves on working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and continuously developing our specialist expertise. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build your oncology and haematology pharmacy experience within a highly regarded cancer service, while working alongside an experienced and supportive team who are passionate about delivering the very best care.

What you'll be doing
  • Deliver a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across oncology and haematology wards.
  • Clinically screen and final-check chemotherapy prescriptions.
  • Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Support medicines optimisation throughout the patient pathway, including admission and discharge.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and clinical decision-making.
  • Contribute to dispensary services, including prescription validation and final checking.
  • Support aseptic services, including chemotherapy production and GMP-compliant processes.
  • Participate in clinical audits, governance activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the education and development of pharmacy colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in the pharmacy on-call service.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused pharmacist who is passionate about specialist cancer care and committed to delivering excellent clinical outcomes.

Essential criteria:
  • GPhC registered Pharmacist.
  • Post-registration experience within a UK hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a patient-centred approach to care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable criteria:
  • Experience within Oncology and/or Haematology pharmacy.
  • Experience working within aseptic services.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • Experience supporting stem cell transplantation, advanced therapies or complex cancer treatments.

What you'll be part of
At The London Clinic, you'll join one of the UK's leading private hospitals, renowned for delivering exceptional patient care and clinical excellence. Our Cancer Services team provides specialist oncology and haematology care within a state-of-the-art environment, supported by advanced technologies and a highly skilled multidisciplinary workforce. You'll have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, specialist training and career progression pathways, allowing you to further develop your expertise in cancer pharmacy. Most importantly, you'll become part of an organisation that lives its values every day: We Go Further | We Work as One | We Personalise Care. If you're looking to take the next step in your pharmacy career and make a meaningful impact within a specialist cancer service, we'd love to hear from you.
