Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced neonatal nurse to join our Neonatal Unit as a Practice Development Nurse. This key leadership role focuses on supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, family-centred care through education, training and workforce development.

The successful candidate will lead on the education, induction, preceptorship and competency development of nursing staff across the neonatal service, ensuring staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence required to provide safe and effective care for babies and their families. Working closely with the Neonatal Unit Manager, multidisciplinary teams and the wider Practice Development Team, the post holder will support the implementation of national standards, clinical guidelines and service improvements.

The role involves supporting newly qualified nurses, students and learners at all stages of their professional development, promoting a positive learning culture and fostering excellence in neonatal practice. The post holder will act as a clinical role model, champion evidence-based practice, facilitate quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of future neonatal leaders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse who is passionate about education, professional development and improving outcomes for babies and families through a highly skilled and competent workforce.

  • Act as a professional role model and clinical expert within neonatal care.
