We invite applications from pharmacists and foundation pharmacists, due to register with the GPhC soon, looking to develop a clinically orientated career.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist with a willingness to learn and work effectively across our clinical teams. This rotational role will build your experience in a range of clinical areas.

Main duties of the job
You will work as a rotational pharmacist to:

• Provide a clinical pharmacy service to a variety of specialities
• Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
• Support medicines safety and quality improvement
• Provide medicines related advice to colleagues and patients
• Support the safe and timely discharge of patients
• Support clinical screening and accuracy checking within the dispensary

The rotations covered in this role will include clinical services (covering acute medicine, general medicines, elderly care, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics), cancer services (aseptic services, SACT prescription screening), parenteral nutrition and clinical trials.

Qualifications/training and professional development
Essential

• Master's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) plus pre-registration/foundation year training
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Desirable

• Member of the Royal College of Pharmacy, or other relevant professional/clinical body
• Independent Prescriber

Experience
Essential

• Previous experience in pharmacy, working as a trainee pharmacist or a more junior member of staff

Desirable

• Previous experience working in hospital pharmacy
