Are you an experienced public health nurse ready to lead, inspire and develop a 019 Rotherham Childrens Public Health Nursing Service team? We are looking for a 019 Team Leader to join Children and Young Peoples Community Services at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.You will provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for a locality team of public health nurses, staff nurses, nursery nurses and support workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care and the Healthy Child Programme. Working closely with the Service Manager, Matron and the wider leadership team, you will support service improvement, staff development, safeguarding, clinical governance and the achievement of local and national priorities.You will be a Registered Nurse with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification and current NMC registration, with relevant post-registration learning and management experience within public health. Strong leadership, communication and partnership-working skills are essential.The role is community based and requires flexibility to work across a range of settings, including health centres, clinics and family homes. Regular travel is required, and you may need to transport equipment as part of your duties.
Main duties of the jobProvide visible, supportive leadership to the Rotherham Childrens Public Health Nursing Service, enabling the team to deliver high-quality care for children, young people and families.Support, coach and develop staff through effective supervision, professional guidance and a positive learning culture.Work alongside the Service Manager and Matron to support service development, quality improvement and the delivery of local and national priorities.Use service information, audit and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and help ensure resources are focused where they are most needed.Build strong relationships with partner agencies to support integrated working and improve outcomes for children, young people and families.Bring confident leadership, strong communication skills, sound professional judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.Play an active role in shaping and improving the service while supporting colleagues to develop and reach their potential.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience and training in Child and Adult Safeguarding
Desirable- Management experience within Public Health

RegistrationEssential- Current level one NMC registration, Relevant learning beyond registration
QualificationsEssential- Facilitating learning and mentoring qualification or experience
- Qualified Nurse RN registered

Desirable- Masters in health / nursing related Studies or equivalent level of study
