An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our Community Ready Unit (CRU) at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
The CRU plays a key role in supporting safe, timely discharge from hospital. We work closely with wards, pharmacy, transport services and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients who are ready to leave their inpatient bed can complete the final stages of their discharge in a welcoming and supportive environment.
This is a busy, fast-paced and developing service where no two days are the same. As a Staff Nurse, you will assess and respond to patients' individual needs, deliver safe and compassionate nursing care, support discharge arrangements, communicate with patients and families, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration who is an excellent communicator, can prioritise effectively and is confident working within a dynamic environment. You should be committed to high-quality patient care and keen to contribute to the continued development of the CRU.

Main duties of the jobThe Community Ready Unit (CRU) is a dynamic and developing service at the heart of patient flow and discharge at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We provide a dedicated environment for patients who no longer need to remain in an inpatient bed but require support to complete the final stages of their hospital journey.
We are looking for a motivated, adaptable and compassionate Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a service that makes a visible difference to patients and the wider hospital.
This role would suit someone who can think on their feet, communicate confidently and work collaboratively with a wide range of teams and professionals. You will need to be organised, able to manage changing priorities and, above all, committed to ensuring patients experience a safe, positive and dignified discharge.
The CRU continues to grow and evolve, giving you the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop your skills and be part of improving how we support patient flow across the Trust.
