Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has come up for a Treatment Room Nurse to join the team at Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice.
We are a two-site practice based in Tickhill and Harworth. We are looking for a new member of the team to provide excellent patient care.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player, who is flexible and can adapt to any situation and is willing to learn.
We are looking for 18-25 hours per week to accommodate the requirements of the practice.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a Treatment room nurse to help with duties within the practice nursing team. These may include but are not restricted to: wound reviews, baby clinic, travel health, immunizations.
This role will include doing the home visits for general reviews and to deliver Flu and Covid vaccinations.
About usWe are an extremely busy but friendly practice serving over 8,800 patients over 2 sites, Tickhill and Harworth. Our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Treatment Room Nurse and 2 Healthcare Assistants.

Job responsibilities- Provide wound care to patient
- Venepuncture
- Provide travel vaccination services
- Ear care
- Contraception reviews
- Promotion of Infection Control procedures
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with data protection and GDPR
- Ensure read codes are used effectively
- Assist GPs with minor surgery when required
- Support the team in dealing with clinical emergencies
- Implement vaccination programmes for adults and children
- Liaise with external services / agencies to ensure the patient is supported appropriately (vulnerable patients etc.)
- Delegate clinical responsibilities appropriately (ensuring safe practice and the task is within the scope of practice of the individual)
- Support the clinical team with all safeguarding matters, in accordance with local and national policies
- Deliver opportunistic health promotion where appropriate
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Baby vaccination training
- Travel health
- Wound care training
- Previous primary care experience
- Experience with S1 Clinical System
DesirableQualificationsEssential- NMC registered nurse
- Driving licence to deliver home visits
