Job summaryTorbay and South Devon NHS Trust are seeking MRI Radiographers to join our small and friendly MRI team. Successful candidates will carry out MR examinations within the agreed scope of practice for the role producing images that are of exemplary diagnostic quality and providing excellent patient care.
The ideal candidate will be working in MRI, have good current knowledge of MRI imaging and have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
We will consider full and part time applications.
A training position would only be considered in the absence of a suitably qualified candidate. This would be paid at band 5 for at least 6 months until competency had been achieved.
Main duties of the job- You will work as part of the MR and wider Radiology team, supporting Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) in delivering a high quality, safe and patient focussed service.
- Represent the MR and wider Radiology team and TSDFT in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Contribute to safe working practices, ensuring full compliance with all local and national guidance and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in provision of out of hours services.
- The service supports in the region of 12,000 patient visits per year and ha 2 scanners; Siemens Aera and Sola.

- MRI scanning experience
Desirable- Up to date anaphylaxis training
- Previous experience as an NHS radiographer
- Evidence of competence in IV cannulation
