This is a fantastic opportunity to help child/young person unlock their potential by implementing an occupation and outcome focused service.
Our service offers a tiered approach and focuses on participation in child/young person's meaningful occupations within the home, school, nursery and other community settings.
Main duties of the jobWorking within a well-established and friendly team and being part of service development based on up to date guidelines and best current evidence.
Providing universal and targeted support to stakeholders including schools and children's centres to promote meaningful occupational participation.
We offer regular supervision, training, and opportunities to develop core occupational therapy skills and knowledge.
About usWe are a community based team working together with our Allied health Professional and Children's Nursing Colleagues.
Our organisational as a whole operates from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Person SpecificationQualifications, skills and experienceEssential- Must have ability to travel as required
- Must be registered with HCPC
- Must have post-graduate OT experience
Desirable- Experience with children and young people in OT
- Experience with children and young people in other areas
