Vernova Healthcare is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated bank practitioner to join our small, but friendly ultrasound team. Our top priority is to ensure our NHS service remains patient focused, providing safe, effective and efficient care within a local community setting.
Ultrasound clinics are delivered from the following sites within Eastern Cheshire using newly replaced GE ultrasound equipment.
- Macclesfield Health Hub & East Cheshire Trust
- Knutsford & District Community Hospital
- Congleton Memorial Hospital
- Handforth Clinic
The successful applicant will be required to work independently across these sites but also as part of a wider team, healthcare assistants form part of our valued team and support all sessions.
We promote effective communication and engagement, meeting regularly for service/clinical updates including peer review audit/feedback.
Main duties of the jobWorking as part of a small but experienced team, you will report directly to the Lead Sonographer. Your remit will be to be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on non-obstetric ultrasound examinations to a high standard, in line with local and national guidelines. Holding a CASE accredited ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip) you must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom with HCPC/NMC/ equivalent registration. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and experience in general, gynaecological and superficial/small parts scanning. MSK and/or head and neck experience would also be an advantage.
